Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to Safeword, a private adult matchmaking service. “Safeword,” “we,” and “us” mean the operator of the service. The operator's legal identity, address, governing law, and court venue must be completed during legal review before version 1.0.
1. Adults only
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Do not create an account for, invite, depict, or facilitate contact with a minor. We may request human verification and remove access when age or identity safety is in doubt.
2. What Safeword provides
Safeword privately compares profiles and may send up to a limited number of compatible proposals. Members cannot browse profiles or send unsolicited messages. A chat opens only after both people accept a proposal. Safeword does not promise a proposal, match, reply, relationship, identity, compatibility, or safe in-person outcome.
3. Your account
Give accurate age and matching information, use a pseudonym instead of identifying profile copy, protect your login, and tell us about suspected unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person, evade a suspension or removal, automate account activity, or use another member's account.
4. Consent is mandatory
Every interaction must involve adults and freely given, informed, specific, ongoing, and reversible consent. A prior “yes,” a match, a kink selection, or sharing contact details is never consent to a later act. Respect limits and safewords immediately. Coercion, threats, intoxication-based exploitation, stealth recording, and sharing intimate material without explicit permission are prohibited.
5. Commercial services are prohibited
Safeword is for personal connections, not a marketplace. Do not advertise, offer, request, broker, or solicit escorting, paid sexual services, commercial pornography, or paid financial-domination (“findom”) services. Non-commercial discussion of consensual adult interests is not prohibited merely because a similar activity can also be commercial.
6. Other prohibited conduct
Do not upload child sexual abuse material; non-consensual intimate material; unlawful content; malware; scams; or content that infringes another person's rights. Harassment, hate, credible threats, stalking, doxxing, blackmail, fraud, trafficking, and attempts to discover or publish a member's private profile data are prohibited. Report urgent danger to local emergency services; Safeword is not an emergency service.
7. Photos, messages, and contact exchange
You retain responsibility for material you submit and grant us a limited license to host, process, moderate, and show it only as needed to operate Safeword. Profile and chat photos are subject to moderation. Contact details are revealed only after both chat members accept an exchange. Once communication moves elsewhere, that service's rules and security apply.
8. Verification is a safety signal, not a guarantee
Human pose-selfie review is intended to reduce automated and obviously fake accounts. It does not prove a member's legal identity, character, intentions, current appearance, or truthfulness. Use your own judgment, meet safely, and report concerns.
9. Reports, suspension, and bans
We may investigate reports, reject content, close chats, restrict features, suspend an account, or terminate it to protect members, comply with law, or enforce these Terms. Serious violations—including conduct involving minors, non-consensual material, threats, trafficking, or ban evasion—may lead to immediate and permanent removal. Repeated lesser violations may also lead to permanent removal. Urgent safety action may occur without prior notice. A formal appeals process remains to be completed in legal and operations review.
10. Ending your account
You can request deletion at Settings → Privacy & data. Matching stops and you are signed out. The live account is scheduled for hard deletion after a 14-day grace period. Some safety reports are retained as tombstoned records, and encrypted backup copies age out under the retention schedule described in the Privacy Notice.
11. Service availability and changes
We may change, pause, or discontinue parts of this early-stage service and may update these Terms. Material changes will require an appropriate notice and, where required, renewed consent before changed processing begins.
12. Disclaimers and liability
Safeword is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties and liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from member conduct, off-platform contact, or unavailable service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude, or limits your mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.
